SEIKUKEN was a 15 minute interactive experience created for an artist residency funded by the XR events company Active Replica (acquired by Mozilla). Created with designer Joost Eggermont inspired by our interest in the costumes of the Bauhaus and my background in European mask theatre, it was created to reveal in 3d virtual space the “Invisible Body” defined by director Tadashi Suzuki, and pioneered several new WebXR interactive mechanics including proximity based avatar animations and 3d sound synthesizers for generative musical collaboration. It was selected and nominated by the Raindance Film Festival.
Workshops
A commissioned series of workshops on avatar embodiment and digital identity from my experience designing LBE interactive installations and how it applies to my role as a consultant for creating successful XR immersive event design.
Theater
I participated in the international one-act theater festival OnboardXR as host/emcee, actor, director, writer and designer. As instructor for the NYU Tisch integrative technology lab I was able to mentor my students through the development of an interactive WebXR theater piece, as well as host and assist them in it’s presentation during the festival.
